There are a few providers of voicemail management that far outperform the standard voicemail management of your cell phone provider. Some of the available voicemail options are Callwave, Youmail, and Phonetag (formerly Simulscribe) among others.

In order to use these services you must set up call forwarding of unanswered calls. These unanswered calls would then get forwarded to the voicemail provider of your choice.

All major carriers do not charge for this service(please note, all carriers do charge for airtime for the duration of the forwarded call, but they do not charge a fee for forwarding the call). Sprint is the ONLY carrier that charges for this feature,and not only do they charge a fee at all, they charge an exorbitant fee of 20 cents per minute.

Let us all petition Sprint to stop this.
